FTC Fines Owners of TikTok For Alleged Violation Of Children’s Privacy Law



The most popular and trending LIP-SYNCING social networking app TikTok known as Musical.ly.It is a global video community powered by music. It allows users to quickly and easily create their short videos on different topics by lip-syncing and many more different ways to share with friends and in Social Media Networks. TikTok becomes the new cultural benchmark for many global creators.


But Recently the Owners of Tiktok apps fined 5.8 million dollars for violating the rule because of they illegally collection the personal information from children without the consent of their parents.


According to the FTC, the Tik Tok known as Musical.ly app illegally collect information from children under the age group around 13. FTC announced TikTok Owners has agreed to pay a 5.7 million dollar fine to settle the allegations, TikTok also comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act or COPPA, going forward and take down any videos uploaded by users under 13.
Good news for the Children's is that there will be a New app similar to Tiktok. On Wednesday TikTok announced that They were launching a separate app for children age the group below 13, in which they introduce additional safety and privacy protections. Which is Specifically designed for this age group audience.
